Talara
A downloadable game
The long road back home is never easy, especially when you have to face the past that shaped your present. Talara is a first-person 3D narrative video game, where a young woman embarks on a journey through the argentine Patagonia during which she will be able to confront her past and heal the wounds of her memories that remain open.
Talara was designed and developed by Estudio Mauve between 2019 and 2022. The project was carried out by a team made up entirely of Latin American women.
During it's development, Talara participated in the Encuentro de Videojuegos Argentinos EVA 2020 (Argentine Video Game Meeting) in which it won the People Choice award, it was also part of the federal program Mi primer Videojuego Publicado MPVP 2021 (My First Published Video Game) directed by the Asociación de Desarrolladores de Videojuegos Argentinos ADVA (Association of Argentine Video Game Developers) and in the same year it won the award for best Narrative and Artistic Proposal within the Las Maquinitas of the Ventana Sur 2021 section organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the Marché du Film – Cannes Film Festival. Likewise, in 2022 it was selected for the first Digital Dragons project Accelerator Program in cooperation with the Krakow Technology Pole.
This demo is the synthesis of our work during these last years. We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who accompanied us during this adventure.

El largo camino de regreso a casa nunca es fácil, sobretodo cuando se debe enfrentar el pasado que forjó nuestro presente. Talara es un videojuego narrativo 3D en primera persona donde una joven se embarca en un viaje por la Patagonia argentina durante el cual podrá confrontar su pasado y curar las heridas de sus memorias que permanecen abiertas.
Talara fue diseñado y desarrollado por Estudio Mauve entre el 2019 y 2022. El proyecto fue llevado a cabo por un equipo conformado en su totalidad por mujeres latinoamericanas.
En su recorrido Talara participó del Encuentro de Videojuegos Argentinos EVA 2020 en el cual obtuvo el premio People Choice, también fue parte del programa federal Mi primer Videojuego Publicado MPVP 2021 dirigido por la Asociación de Desarrolladores de Videojuegos Argentinos y en el mismo año obtuvo el premio a mejor Propuesta Narrativa y Artística dentro de la sección Las Maquinitas de Ventana Sur 2021 organizado por el National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) y el Marché du Film – Cannes Film Festival. Asímismo en el 2022 fue selecionado para el primer programa acelerador de proyectos de Digital Dragons en cooperación con el Polo Tecnológico de Cracovia.
Esta demo es la síntesis nuestro trabajo de estos últimos años. Queremos aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecerles a todos aquellos que nos acompañaron durante esta aventura.

It has a particular aesthetic look, a style that partly reminds me of the Clint Eastwood video by Gorillaz. It is a great job.

This game is in beta, but there are a lot of bugs here not like a normal beta game once I fell out of the world this game is good, but the bugs are... I hope you fix them.
Amazing game! I really enjoyed the game's narrative. The soundtrack was excellent, each song chosen for a given moment, ranging from beautiful to melancholic. Kudos to you!
